Oh yes, it could.
This isn’t going to be a one-off either. If you like seeing my awkward, stumbly runner body adorned with gorgeous offerings then chances are there will be more to come. But, for now, let’s focus on the first in (hopefully) many offerings when it comes to Emmeline and her undergarments.
When it comes to the fantasy clothing debut it was always going to have to be a maid’s outfit for me, because of course.
As a young little Peach I spent an obscene amount of time looking at Japanese maid culture and looking through all the maid’s outfits that I would one day invest in for myself. My eyes widened at the scene in American Pie 2 where the strippers came in to the room, with the cheeky French Maid capturing my attention the most, and my natural inclination towards all things black, white, and lacy made this servant’s attire an absolute given.
And although I never managed to fill my wardrobe with Japanese maido costumes, Lovehoney has treated me to this offering, which is pretty damned awesome.
The Lovehoney Fantasy Deluxe French Maid Costume
The Lovehoney Fantasy Deluxe French Maid Costume is one of the fancier options from the Lovehoney costume range and is suitable for all sorts of saucy action.
Originally I had conceived mine as a bit of a Halloween option and that would have been fine if not for the fact that I was running dressed as a cow on Halloween night and also the fact that it was fucking freezing that evening in the UK, and this outfit is not made for the wintery British outdoors.
What it is perfect for, however, is seducing a lover, attending a risqué adult event, or making yourself the perfect little household help for the Dominant in your relationship. All of which are good reasons to buy this outfit.
The outfit itself a variable outfit which comes in different sizes. S/M fits 8-10 (my size), M/L fits 12-14, an L/XL fits 16-18. There is also a plus sized version for those who are interested in rocking this beautiful attire with additional curves to really make that frilly dress-line pop.
The outfit itself is listed as ‘satin’ but the best description would probably be ‘satin effect’ as the label terms this dress as 100% polyester. Either way, this outfit feels very comfortable and has enough give in it to accommodate the sizes that it lists.
I will say, however, that it is a ‘slim’ 8-10 when it comes to the S/M, as I’m usually a 6-8ish in some clothes yet this supposed goes-up-to-10 dress felt a bit snuck to fit in to at times.
The outfit itself has loads of little details that really make it stand out.
Sure, you’ve got the typically beautiful satin sheen of an elegant black dress contrasted against white frills and lace, but there’s also so many little decorative accentuations in the white lining that frames the chest.
This sections also provides a beautiful framing and enhancement of a person’s natural curves, which really does help aid to the sexy-as-all-hell feeling that you get when wearing this outfit.
It was always my apprehension when buying sexy lingerie and outfits that the skirts, though plump and full in the product pictures, might look deflated and need a petticoat in practice. Thankfully this was not the case with the Lovehoney Fantasy Deluxe French Maid Costume, and it presents a beautiful frilly display from the very moment that you slide it on.
This outfit flows and moves so wonderfully with a person’s natural motions too.
Every single step feels like a chance to prove one’s elegance. Every shrug of the shoulders feels like it flutters the lace at the centre of the chest. Oh, and let’s not forget that this dress is perfectly poised for a ‘bent over’ teaser. Be sure to wear your best lacy undergarments.
Another element of this outfit which should not go amiss is the perfectly cut sweetheart neckline which makes even my slim bust seem like the most appetising item that a maid or servant can present to someone. I greatly appreciate the way that this dress allows a person’s ‘assets’ to show and feel like Lovehoney have really put a great amount of consideration in to how this outfit could work with the body as opposed to simply sitting on it.
Downsides do exist, though, and they should always be mentioned.
The first is the size issue that I mentioned above. I’m not convinced that Lovehoney are quite accurate with the prices they’ve provided and it could be a bit of a hit to the confidence if you try on a size that you usually fit but then find you suddenly don’t in this sexy attire.
People who react badly to polyester or netting might also find the Lovehoney Fantasy Deluxe French Maid Costume to be a bit itchy or uncomfortable, and this could prove to be an issue during use.
From my experiences this outfit is rather breathable and easy to wear, even during sexual activity but I could see the netted petticoat irritating some people or distracting them during sexual activities.
For the price it would have been nice to have a feather duster included with the outfit. It’s strictly specified on the product description that it’s not included, so you won’t be surprised when it doesn’t turn up with one, but it would just be a lovely icing on the sexy servant cake. As it stands, however, that’s just a little gripe rather than a damning indictment against the product which, in general, is exceptional.
Final Thoughts
The Lovehoney Fantasy Deluxe French Maid Costume is not the most high end of maid outfits that exists on the market, but for the price you pay I’d say that you get a level of quality which suprasses what might be expected and more than serves its purpose.
This outfit has the power to make me feel like a cute and willing servant, eager to meet the needs of anyone I encounter and fully dressed for the occasion.
If you want to feel the same way then I highly recommend that you consider this outfit and make an indulgent little purchase which will create a fully immersive fantasy atmosphere.
